Can there be any question that the clientèle of north park bars has shifted? Can there be any question that North Park now attracts people who would have gone there five years ago?

There can be no debate over that fact, a trend which is demonstrable going back to the beauty bar in 2006(beauty bar not in north park, of course.)

As to who is “right” vs. “wrong” clearly the crowd that was hanging around at the old Scolari’s office (i.e. punk boarders) are “right” and everyone else are the douche bags, maybe even including pink elephant crowd. However, patrons of bars like u31 or office may either have been around in North Park during that period and simply not enjoyed hanging out at Scolari’s Office that much, OR they are actually people who have been hanging around the gaslamp/pb and have shifted their playground, so to speak.

I very much doubt that the pro-douchebag commenter’s belong to that third group, but are rather members of the second group, who like members of the first and third group equally less.

I don’t really think the second group should have much to say about the third group, since they themselves probably were “like that” at one point, maybe more then 5 years ago.

There can be no debate over the fact that what has happened to Scolari’s Office is a shame, and that u-31 is a sad joke.
